Firstly, it arrived really quickly to the UK (about a week). The drivers run better under Windows than Mac, but that's regular for OSX and these things and not particular to this product. Visit here for instructions: http://benlo.com/esp8266/esp8266QuickStart.html Download the lualoader program to allow you to upload new lua code to the controller and you're good to go. There are lots of free programs on github you can easily use. You can connect to the device either using the mcu as a webserver, or you can connect via your wifi access point. Connection seems reliable and range is pretty good. I think I will be buying many more of these little things, as they're really great.
