Good quality metal construction. There are metal gears in the drivetrain but some are plastic. It won't charge my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone though other devices seem okay. I'm guessing the right side output is unregulated DC as I can just barely get up to 110 volts if I crank extremely fast according to my multimeter. Overall I'm happy with the generator for the price. Suggestion: a second attach point on the handle halfway up to make high speed cranking easier. Had pics but uploading failed.
