The transceivers work perfectly. No noise. Just a realistic reproduction of the sound. This transceiver also will transmit vocals from a microphone. All you need to do is use an adapter which is readily available at your local music store. The type of adapter you need depends on the microphone you're using. I have alternated between using a cable and the transceiver and can not hear any difference.
