I especially like the AAA battery usage, as well as, the auto shutoff. No more expensive dead 9 volt batteries from yesteryear. The non contact voltage detector works well, with proximity beeps. The OHM continuity beep is clear, not buzzy. However, you have to hit the SELECT button three times to get the continuity function going. The back-light is finally user friendly. Not just temporary, and fades away. The Cables store neatly on the integrated side clips. BAD: the cables are cheaply made, and the tips might have some remnant plastic coating, preventing good electrical contact. The wires seems thin gauge, not able to hold high current. Probably reserve use for household voltage only. Other: The outer gray color is vinyl plastic, rubberized to protect unit from dropping damage, maybe good for 1 meter fall, or 3 feet. The 6000 count voltage display is optimized to measure the recent Lithium Ion battery voltages of ``4.2 volts, providing adequate significant digits of measurement.
