I've been waiting to find one of this type of stove for a while. I saw this and pushed the buy button. It's a great stove that fits my cook kit perfectly. I made my lunch at work with it today - pack of Ramen noodles, hot sauce and some oregano, then filled the pot with cold water (10 C) from the water cooler to the 20oz mark on the pot. With the pot top on, in 20 minutes I had a rolling boil going. I actually had to add ice to my soup so I could eat it. The snuffing top puts it out quickly, but I use a Leatherman to drop it on there. The screw on lid seems to keep the 200 proof Everclear alcohol inside with no leaks. (No drinking the leftovers when I'm at work!) The only ding I can give it is that the edges are all fairly sharp, a little time with a file may be in my near future.

The stove works well. Be carefull with the first flames, because they are colour-less. After a few minutes you can see the flames. Three minor things wrong, I think: 1. Inside the stove holder are 3 notches, which should position the stove in the centre and also raise it off the ground a bit. This didn't work on my holder because the notches were not bent far enought. I simply repaired this with a pair of pliers. 2. If you want to put out the flame, you must cover it with a supplied lid. If you this, you will burn your fingers on the flame. Other burners have a small handle attached to the lid, so you don't burn your fingers. 3. The user manual was only in chinese, not in english.

I have been using gasoline stove, but gasoline smells, must be pressurized (higher risk of leaks), the pump and the stove weight a lot (more than 800g) and is difficult to simmer. I was wondering if an alcohol stove might be better. After long internet research I ordered this stove and I immediately love it. It is small and light. Even with folding wind protector weights about 350, alcohol doesn't smell so bad and can be carried in any plastic bottle and has alternative use for disinfecting surface wounds. Today I boiled 250g of pasta in 0,75l of water on 30ml of alcohol. It included bringing the cold water to boil and then 10 minutes of boiling. The simmering cap is invaluable. After quickly bringing water to boil, I put the half-open simmering cap on the stove and it kept the water quietly boiling. This would be impossible with my old gasoline stove !

Very lightweight, I measured it with 132 g including the bag. Filled with alcohol and together with a BIC lighter it is 245 g. The stove comes with a lid and a seal so that the alcohol can be transported directly in the stove. However, the burning time is much less than 40 min and to heat water you need more time. 100 ml alcohol is sufficient for four times cooking of 500 ml water. However, I tried this at an outside temperature of 5°C, maybe this is why it needs more fuel. The quality is very good, I don't feel that is unsafe in any way. After 10 min burning time however, the flames start to get really big. Another good thing: It fits perfectly into the Outdoor Camping Picnic Cookware (http://www.banggood.com/2-Pcs-Outdoor-Camping-Picnic-Cookware-Cook-Pot-Bowl-p-934057.html).
