With good fresh rechargeable batteries heats to solder melting temperature for about 22-25 secs. I could not test the charge from USB cable function, but seems to detect when batteries are charged. The plastic seems of relatively good quality and looks professional. The biggest problem is the lid for the batteries - it is difficult to push it to close and extremely difficult to remove it - I needed special pliers and a lot of patience and force. it would be prefect without this design problem. The USB cable seems to be with low resistance and good quality. I wish it had a small case/box for it.

Покупал по распродаже из телеграм канала https://t.me/chinagoodbuy Прикольный простой паяльник, питается от 3х АА батареек, можно обычные 1,5V или заряжаемые на 1.2V использовать. Греется быстро. Жало заменяемое, видел в сети можно найти. Если использовать заряжаемые батарейки, то можно их заряжать прям в устройстве, для этого в комплекте microusb проводок есть. В целом паяет хорошо, но если много паять - не будет справляться. Если не часто нужно паять, например проводок в колонке отвалился от старости, или в машине что-то прихватить - вполне норм, но если радиодетали много паять - слабоват для таких целей. В общем я очень доволен, под мои цели - самое оно, если быстро что-то прихватить надо, а уж если паять что-то серьезное, то есть более мощный с регулировкой температуры...

The tip is removable and spares can be found, just look for 5 volt 8 watt usb soldering iron tip replacement. To turn on just slide the power button and hold down the yellow button. I have been using old AA alkaline cells that still have about 70% of their capacity and it takes about 20 seconds to melt the solder that came with the unit. I plan to get 3 AA rechargable cells and try it out once my stock of old AA cells are used up. Build quality is good for the price and great for portable light duty work.

decent quality and good priced. you will need this. i liked the best that it has double safety feature as described. it takes less than a minute to be solder ready.
