More substantial and tough than I expected at this price. I finally understand why everyone was raving about what amazing value this it. It really is very fast, the D/G trim on the remote control is very useful to slow the car down when letting kids play with it. A common complaint is scratchy or dry diffs, but my unit was fine. Came with one 1500 mAh battery, which measured at rated capacity on my charger. I have a bunch of Zop power 2200 mAh batteries from BG laying around, they also fit, just barely, after moving the battery support to the farther position and rerouting the battery strap to go over the battery and fasten at one end only.
